JET New Jersey currently offers 7 Prajna modules, starting with Module 1 and going up to Module 5 plus two other special modules for older kids (10 years and above that can recite slokas clearly) and Teenagers. These two modules are Teenage-1 & 2.  All Prajna modules begin with a 20 minute introductory Yoga session.

In addition some centers also offer Language (Telugu & Hindi) classes and Music & Dance classes. Please note that not all centers offer all the classes listed here. Only the Jeeyar Asramam Center offers all classes listed. Please contact the center directly for the schedule and classes offered.

Module 1

Overview

In this course, the students will learn important slokas, bhajams, about sages, festivals, bhajans, meditation and the importance of service to the community.

Prerequisites

None. Any student 4 years or older is welcome to join this module.

Course Objectives

In this module the students will:

  • Learn how to pronounce Sanskrit vowels and consonant sounds.
  • Learn bhajans (Adisesha, Hari Narayana, Srinivasa Govida, Krishnanada, Govinda Jai Jai, Radhe Radhe).
  • Learn to chant important slokas for every day use – slokas for showing gratitude to Nature and God, removing hindrances, excelling in studies, improving memory skills, improving health etc.
  • Introduction to avatars of Lord Vishnu
  • Learn about sages(Rishis) and their contributions to the mankind.
  • Learn about famous devotees.
  • Discover the traditions and culture of Vedic Lineage.
  • Understand the importance of Festivals and learn about few important festivals.
  • Learn basic Yoga and meditation.
  • Learn the importance of Community Service.

Module 2

Overview

In this course, the students will learn some important sthothras, bhajans, about respecting mother, father, festivals, rishis, famous devotees and about community service.

Prerequisites

Complete Module 1.

Course Objectives

In this module the students will:

  • Learn Sanskrit phonetics
  • Learn bhajans
  • Learn to chant Sri Krishna Astakam, Hari Astakam, Panchayudha Sthothram, Sloka Dvayam, Sloka Trayam, Paratwadi Panchakam, Paramartha Sloka Dvayam, Vishnu Sahasra Namam – Guru Parampara & Sri Lakshmi Ashtottaram.
  • learn stories related to Matrhu Devobhava and Pithru Devobhava (devotion to mother & father)
  • Understand the importance of Festivals and learn about few important festivals.
  • Discover the traditions and culture of Vedic Lineage – Level 2
  • Learn About famous Devotees; Stories – Level 2
  • Learn about sages and their contributions to the mankind – Level 2
  • Practice Meditation
  • Participate in activities related to classroom learning

Module 3

Overview

In this course, the students will learn Hayagriva Sthothram, Goda Chathusloki and Kantha Chathusloki, Stories related to Acharya Devobhava and Sneham(friendship), about Sages and their contributions, festivals, stories of devotees, Community Service, Temples of India, bhajans, Vande Matharam and meditation

Complete Module 2.

Course Objectives

In this module the students will:

  • Learn bhajans
  • Learn Hayagriva Sthothram, Goda Chathusloki and Kantha Chathusloki

  • Learn about sages and their contributions to the mankind – Level 2

Module 5

Overview
Prerequisites

Complete Module 4 or Teenage 1

Course Objectives

In this module the students will:

  • Learn Srimad Bhagavat Gita – Chapter 1, Sri Adithya Hrudayam
  • Learn Stories related to Kruthajnatha
  • Learn about Sages Agasthya and Vasishta
  • Practice Meditation
  • Participate in activities related to classroom learning

Teenage 1

Overview
Prerequisites

Must be 10 years or older and should be able to recite slokas clearly.

In this module the students will:

  • Practice Meditation
  • Participate in activities related to classroom learning
